As part of its growing student outreach efforts, the OVMA recently createdÊ5 for 5 for the Future, an initiative aimed at raising money for student scholarships and programs. The initiative, approved by the OVMA Board of Directors at its June meeting, will set aside $5 from every Midwest Veterinary Conference registration for the next five years into a fund to support veterinary and technician student scholarships and programs. The OVMA estimates that this program will raise $17,500 in revenue each year, for a total nearing $90,000 over the five-year period.
