The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, together with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state-level partners, is investigating a link between pig ear pet treats and human cases of salmonellosis. In July, the agency issued a warning to pet owners to avoid all pig ear treats as it searches for the source of reported contaminations.
To date, at least four other brands of pig ear treats have been recalled: Brutus & Barnaby, Chef Toby, Lennox, and Pet Supplies Plus.
