PetAlive oral sprays recalled due to microbial contamination

Silver Star Brands, Inc., is initiating a voluntary recall of two PetAlive products for pets. The products have been tested and found to contain microbial contamination.

The following products have been recalled:

PetAlive Allergy Itch Ease oral spray

  • Indication: Relieves skin itch
  • NDC: 68703-135- 59
  • UPC: 818837011102
  • Lot: K111617B
  • Exp. Date: 11/20

PetAlive Plump-Up Pet oral spray

  • Indication: Improves appetite in underweight dogs and cats
  • NDC: 68703-290- 02
  • UPC: 818837013908
  • Lot: K011617E
  • Exp. Date: 01/20

These products were distributed nationwide to retailers and directly to consumers. Administration or use of drug products with microbial contamination could potentially result in increased infections that may require medical intervention or could be life threatening. As of the time of the announcement, no adverse events had been reported.
