Advertising Terms & Conditions

By submitting an advertising contract, you agree to the following terms.

General Conditions

Please note that due to the time-sensitive nature of the newsletter content, any advertisements not received by press time will be excluded. Ad space is limited and provided on a first-come, first serve basis. All advertisements are subject to OVMA review and approval prior to placement, and OVMA reserves the right to offer modified publishing alternatives.

Classifieds: Print/Online

  • All classified advertising is subject to OVMA review and approval prior to placement. OVMA reserves the right to modify your submission if required for readability.
  • Ads will be posted online within two business days of submission and printed in the next issue of The Observer unless otherwise specified.
  • Please be aware that there may be discrepancies across different word count tools, which could affect your total amount due. OVMA uses Microsoft Word to obtain word counts.
  • Rates include placement of your ad in the OVMA’s online classified section for 60 days AND in one issue of The Observer (unless denoted otherwise above). If you would like to place an online-only ad, please use the online-only advertising agreement.

  • All classified advertising is subject to OVMA review and approval prior to placement. OVMA reserves the right to modify your submission if required for readability.
  • Ads will be posted within two business days unless otherwise specified.

  • Rates include placement of your ad in the OVMA’s online classified section ONLY; they will not be printed in The Observer. If you would like your ad to be printed as well, please use the print/online advertising agreement instead.

Display Ads

  • Advertiser should provide camera-ready art (unless purchasing design services). Minimum resolution of 300 dpi is requested to ensure high-quality printing. Please e-mail art to communications@ohiovma.org.
  • As space is limited, advertising contracts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Changes to an advertisement must be made in writing (via fax, mail, or e-mail) and new artwork will be required.
  • Placement requests will be accepted but are not guaranteed.
  • Advertisers who do not submit their art by press time will be excluded.
  • All advertising is subject to OVMA review and approval prior to publication. Publisher reserves the right to offer modified publishing alternatives.
  • Advertisers who sign an annual contract agree to run six consecutive ads. In the event one issue is skipped, the advertiser will be charged the single publication price.
  • Billing is done following publication. Other arrangements may be made by contacting financial secretary Cindi Rains at car@ohiovma.org.

Inserts

  • The maximum size (flat) is 8.5" x 11". Inserts may be single- or double-sided. Additional pages will incur an extra charge.
  • Advertisers must deliver 2,700 copies of their insert to the OVMA office by the appropriate deadline shown on the contract.
  • If you would like your insert to be included in the digital version of the newsletter, please also send a PDF version of your insert to communications@ohiovma.org.
  • All inserts are subject to OVMA review and approval prior to insertion. Publisher reserves the right to offer modified publishing alternatives.
